About Senior Living Community

Choosing care for a parent is one of the biggest decisions a family makes - emotionally and financially. Most of the information online is published by companies paid to refer you to specific communities. This site is different: an independent directory plus plain-language guides, built to help you decide well.

Our order of loyalties is fixed: the resident first, then the family doing the choosing, then the communities that serve them. Most of the time all three win together - a good match is good for everyone. But when interests pull apart, we side with the person who will live with the decision. That is what “independent” means here, and it’s why we link you to the records and reviews each community has earned rather than selling you a recommendation.

How we source facility data

Our directory currently contains 406 verified listings across 140 cities in 4 states. It is not a complete registry of every licensed senior living provider - those states have more licensed communities than we’ve verified and added so far. Coverage is growing state by state.

Facility details change frequently. Always confirm availability, pricing, and services directly with a community before making decisions.

What we are not

We are not a placement or referral service, and we don’t accept referral fees from communities. We don’t provide medical, legal, or financial advice - our guides tell you when a question belongs with a doctor, an elder law attorney, or a benefits counselor, and where to find free help.

We do not display a star rating or numeric score anywhere on this site, and we do not write reviews or investigate what any review, inspection report, or news source says. Every facility profile links directly to Medicare Care Compare, state licensing records, and the review platforms we found - clearly labeled - so you read the real, current number at the source instead of a figure we’ve restated. We do not restate, quote, or summarize the contents of individual reviews, official records, or incident reports on our own pages - no exceptions; that information belongs to the source that published it, and it can change, be disputed, or be resolved after we look. Every profile carries the same note encouraging you to read the official record and recent reviews carefully before deciding - we never single out individual communities, and the note says nothing about what any record contains. Do your own research: read the full record at the source, and always verify directly with the community. See why we don’t display ratings, how to interpret online reviews, and how government ratings work.

How this site makes money - and what money never buys

Listings are free, always. No community can pay to be listed, ranked, featured, or placed above another - the directory is alphabetical, and no payment of any kind changes what a listing says or where it appears. We don’t accept referral or placement fees from communities, so no commission rides on where your parent moves.

We offer separate, optional marketing services (websites, search campaigns, nonprofit ad-grant management) that some communities may hire us for. That work never touches the directory: a marketing client’s listing is written, verified, and ordered exactly like every other, and any community with a paid relationship with us will say so plainly on its profile. Full details are in our Terms of Service.
